On Record PR Podcast: Meeting the Moment: How Lawyers Can Unite to Protect Democracy and the Rule of Law

In an episode of On Record PR, Gina Rubel had the honor of speaking with Chancellor Katayun Jaffari about the Meeting the Moment campaign, a movement mobilizing the legal profession to protect the Rule of Law, support judicial independence, and expand access to justice in a time of escalating political pressure and legal uncertainty.

This episode is a must-listen for lawyers, law firms, law firm professionals, and bar associations seeking tangible, actionable ways to make an impact, without partisanship, and with principle. Kathy shared the power of convening, communicating, and collaborating to create real change through rallies, roundtables, and resources. They discussed the emotional toll of today’s legal climate, the fear lawyers and judges are facing, and the importance of self-care and resilience as part of leadership. You’ll also hear about the Law Day 2025 rally, where 400+ lawyers publicly renewed their oaths, and how the Association is preparing to lead into the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026—with hope and light.
