At this critical time for global peace and security, international courts, and the International Criminal Court in particular, are at an important juncture in the pursuit of international justice and rule of law.
Join a panel of leading international law experts as they discuss the genesis and history of the International Criminal Court; its impact, successes and challenges since its creation in 1998 by a treaty of 160+ nations; and where the Court might be headed in the future.
What is the difference between race and caste? Does federal employment law cover caste?
This 40 min crash course will be a primer on caste where you can learn about terms, caste discrimination in South Asia and in the US, and activism to end caste apartheid. Our discussion will feature Professor Sonja Thomas, an associate professor of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Colby College, where she teaches courses on South Asian feminisms, transnational feminisms, gender and human rights, feminist theory, and postcolonial and native feminisms.
