Members' March Madness Pool

The winner of each pool will receive their choice of either two tickets to the Phillies game on Friday, April 12 vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates or one free registration and hotel accommodations for the 2024 Bench-Bar Conference in Atlantic City, N.J. Second place in each pool will receive whichever first prize option is not chosen by that pool's winner. Third place will get a free 2024 membership to the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Don’t forget to finish your bracket(s) before the pick deadline – Thursday, March 21 at 12:15 p.m. ET for the men’s’ bracket and Friday, March 22 at 12:15 p.m. ET for the women’s bracket.

Philadelphia Bar Association adds Legal Professional Services Firm ProfitSolv as Annual Partner

The Philadelphia Bar Association has entered into an annual partnership agreement with ProfitSolv, a comprehensive legal professional services company, offering solutions for billing, payments, legal accounting, marketing, practice management, and file sharing. The partnership will give Association members access to ProfitSolv’s extensive expertise in software and professional services.

Protocols for Remote Proceedings

Remote appearance technology can, under some circumstances, facilitate access to justice. Subject to the discretion of the presiding judge, consistent with Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 42(a) and Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 26, certain civil and criminal proceedings in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania may be heard in-person, by remote court appearance, or by a combination of in-person and remote court appearance.
