Members: Get Admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court

On Thursday, June 13, the Philadelphia Bar Association will move the admission of up to 50 members to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. The admission ceremony will take place before the full Supreme Court sitting in Washington, D.C.

Applications will be accepted on a first come, first-serve basis and all applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15.

Philadelphia Bar Association Adds and Promotes Staff

Attorneys Gabriella Fontan and Sarah Robinson have joined the Philadelphia Bar Association in the senior roles of Director of Policy and Legal Services and Staff Attorney for Policy, respectively. In addition to hiring Fontan and Robinson, the Association has also promoted two longtime staff members: Andrea Morris-Tracey has been promoted to Director of Member Services and outreach Wesley Terry has been promoted to Director of Technology and Infrastructure.

PI meet n greet

Are you part of the Public Interest Section, Civil Gideon Task Force or Delivery of Legal Services Committee? If the answer is yes, then you won't want to miss this!

The three groups will come together on Tuesday, February 6 from 5-6:30 p.m. for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and networking at the law offices of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, 1 Logan Square # 2000. Food and beverage will be provided complimentary to all guests. 

Volunteers Needed: John S. Bradway High School Mock Trial Competition

Offered each spring, this program allows students to play the roles of lawyers and witnesses in a simplified mock trial.

Tax Section: Mentor Volunteers Needed!

The Tax Section’s mentorship program will be happening this spring with law students from Temple University and Villanova University.  The program still continues to be a success and we want to work on growing the program this upcoming semester!
