After all, what other organization in Philadelphia can speak for all segments of our profession – all practice areas, all demographics, all ethnicities and all roles – from lawyers to judges to legal administrators and court personnel in our city and region?

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Diversity Reception, the affinity bar co-hosts, and all of the sponsors. And congratulations again to our scholarship recipients! We look forward to seeing what they accomplish with their legal careers.

Our cause for celebration must also be tempered by our own resolution to ensure that all people have access to the inalienable rights heralded in the Declaration.

A concern about the use of AI tools: it might replace employees industries, including law.

At EILS, we have seen a sharp climb in the calls for asylum services over the last six months, particularly for individuals fleeing violence and persecution from Central American countries. In response, we have launched a limited scope asylum docket, following the excellent Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP) model.

PMC was pleased to successfully continue our mission to promote civic education about the judiciary with so many enthusiastic students and looks forward to resuming in the fall.
