May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich history, culture, and achievements of AAPI communities and raise awareness about the challenges they continue to face.
This project was designed with the understanding that street-based gun violence, and other forms of interpersonal violence, are symptoms of structural issues, namely poor and exploitative living conditions, that working-class communities are subjected to.
Absent legal counsel, most tenants are unable to pursue these types of affirmative action claims and their housing stability can worsen and result in homelessness.
