Understanding the Reasons Respondents Violate Protection From Abuse (PFA) Orders

Program Originally Presented Thursday, October 23, 2025

In the practice of family law, the most important rule to explain to a client who is the respondent in a Protection from Abuse (PFA) Order, is not to violate the PFA Order. The consequence to this particular violation may include the initiation of a criminal case and incarceration. This CLE course focuses on understanding why some respondents do not comply with a PFA order, even when incarceration is a consequence.

Attend this program as panelists explore the causes and consequences of violations of PFA orders.
