Digital Forensics & eDiscovery in Litigation: Protecting and Making Sense of Critical Data

Program Originally Presented Wednesday, August 20, 2025

As the tools that we use to share information and communicate continue to evolve, litigation across various subject areas is growing increasingly complex, and often involves data from sources of various types.

Whether through intentional means, mistake, or outsider threats, the loss or misuse of sensitive information is a constant source of risk for parties involved in litigation.  Attorneys, therefore, are often faced with challenges in how to analyze critical information whenever disputes arise. Attorneys often get involved after the fact – when data goes missing, or when the organization has a need to identify, retrieve and/or review critical information.

This interactive CLE will address best practices for safeguarding sensitive information, and explain the technical measures available to find, collect and analyze such information, when necessary. With this knowledge, lawyers will be better positioned to help protect their clients’ data and have a layman’s understanding of how digital forensics and eDiscovery practices can be used to protect and make sense of critical data.

The nuanced integration of digital forensics and eDiscovery collection in modern litigation forms a cornerstone for effective legal strategy. Attend this program and learn how to protect and make sense of critical data.
