Accelerated Justice: An Overview of Philadelphia’s AMP Court

Program Originally Presented Tuesday, July 22, 2025

This CLE program will provide an in-depth look at Philadelphia’s Accelerated Misdemeanor Program (AMP), a diversionary court designed to expedite the resolution of low-level misdemeanor cases. Attendees will gain insight into the program’s structure, eligibility criteria, procedural flow, and the benefits it provides to both defendants and the broader criminal justice system, as well as the communities we live in. Panelists will also address recent updates, data on program outcomes, and current challenges. Legal professionals will leave with a clear understanding of how AMP aligns with principles of restorative justice and practical considerations for advising clients through the process.
