Real World Ethics – A Guide for All Attorneys
Navigating Ethical Dilemmas in Modern Legal Practice

Program Originally Presented Thursday, March 20, 2025

Practicing law is different from what is written in textbooks or defined in the Rules of Professional Conduct. This program will provide practical insights and guidance on navigating the real-world ethical challenges that occur in legal practice. Panelists will cover a range of topics, including the ethical responsibilities of attorneys, common ethical challenges, and best practices for maintaining professional integrity.

Through real-world case examples, the course will explore various scenarios and offer ways of dealing with situations under the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rules 1.1. (Competence), 1.4 (Communication), 1.6 (Confidentiality), 1.7-1.11 (Conflicts of Interest), 3.3 (Candor), 3.4 (Fairness to Opposing Party and Counsel), 4.1 (Truthfulness) and other Rules.

Attend this program to hear practical guidance for navigating common ethical dilemmas in modern-day practice.
