Program Originally Presented Friday, January 17, 2025

As a kickoff to the 2025 year, hear from Director Holly San Angelo and the Southeastern District Judge Manager with WCOA updates. The Director and Judge Manager will address necessary information and offer guidance to litigate claims throughout 2025. Find out if any changes are in store.

The program also features the newest judge appointed to the Philadelphia District for the Workers’ Compensation Office of Adjudication, Judge Kelly Dempsey. Learn about her procedures, courtroom preferences and suggestions for attorneys practicing before her. Hear insights on how she may handle discovery issues, mediation and settlement, as well as virtual protocols.

Lastly, Attorney Michael Dryden will address new legislation passed affecting workers’ compensation, including the expansion of mental health coverage for first responders and the requirement of direct deposit.
