Partition Actions: Unique Challenges, Difficult Solutions

Program Originally presented Thursday, April 4, 2024

When co-owners of real property part ways and they cannot agree on the management or sale of a property, Pennsylvania law gives any owner the right to request a “partition” of the property. Sometimes, that division of their property ends up in court. Actions for the partition of real property have special rules and procedures. This informative CLE will provide the nuts and bolts of partition law, the practice and procedure in Philadelphia, perspective from experienced practitioners, and the role of the hearing officer in partition.

Attend this program to hear valuable tips and best practices for this rarely litigated and often confusing area of the law and learn how to become a partition Judge Pro Tem or a partition hearing officer.
