In a recent legal article, it has been suggested that "Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to fundamentally reshape the practice of law.” With the recent introduction of large language model-based systems such as ChatGPT, there is now widely available technology that can perform sophisticated writing and research tasks. But what are the risks? What are the advantages to using AI? Do the Rules of Professional Conduct address AI?
