Finance for Family Lawyers

Originally Presented on Monday, February 5, 2024

This CLE program is designed to provide an overview of financial statements, business structures, and basic tax documents to assist them in various aspects of family law matters including, but not limited to net income available for support, marital balance sheets, and equitable distribution. Through the review of basic financial statements, family lawyers will gain insight into the health of a business as it may relate to its valuation as part of a matrimonial action. Through review of the basis tax documents, the family lawyer will be better equipped to understand the sources of income for support purposes.

A great program for all family law practitioners.
