The Building Next Door: What You Need to Know When Your Neighbor Breaks Ground

Program originally presented Tuesday, August 29, 2023

Philadelphia development and construction projects often take place on sites with party walls.  What happens when a neighboring builder needs access to your property, or you are demolishing a structure attached to another building?

This CLE will provide best practices and a framework to negotiate neighbor access agreements surrounding issues that can arise in a rowhouse city. Furthermore, it will provide information on the permit requirements and an overview of the adjacent property protection requirements in Philadelphia.

Attend this CLE program to hear guidance regarding permitting, structure protection, and best practices to negotiate neighbor access agreements when construction projects arise for your clients with party walls or attached building structures.
