Finding Nemo, Waldo or Anyone Else: Free and Paid Resources to Locate People for Service of Process

Program originally presented Wednesday, August 2, 2023

Process serving is used to get legal documents in the hands of a specific person. Many real estate and other cases involve serving the owners of properties.  A neighboring property may be causing damage to a client’s property. Other cases may require locating lost heirs who have inherited the property.  Often times, the specified person is not easy to locate, or they may even be deceased. Petitions for alternative service can delay cases, not to mention the legal fees clients must pay and newspaper publication costs!

In this CLE program, learn how to use free internet and public sources to find people.  No success using free methods?  Hear about a variety of other fee-based resources that can easily locate people.

Join your colleagues for practical guidance to assist you in locating individuals that may need service of process.
