The SECURE Act of 2022 mandates numerous changes to retirement plan for employees and also includes elective provisions that many employers will want to consider. This program will provide a summary of noteworthy changes affecting qualified retirement plans after the passage of SECURE Act 2.0 as well as other recent plan developments regarding. Some of the changes to be addressed are significant especially regarding the treatment of part-time employees, required minimum distributions, and 401(k) plan age 50 catchup elections. This program is designed to offer conversational competence on major and minor changes to how retirement plans work to anyone who advises employers.
