This program will address the responsibilities and potential conflicts that defense attorneys may face when representing an insured while being appointed by an insurer.  The tripartite relationship is a unique situation that every claims representative and insurance-appointed counsel must be familiar with in order to properly and ethically represent an insured client. Panelists will examine the applicable rules of professional responsibility, case law and contractual obligations that serve to govern an attorney under the tripartite relationship. Panelists will also explore the impacts and pitfalls that arise during insurance defense litigation and offer best practice tips.
