Fueled to Litigate: Eating for Sustained Energy

Program originally presented Wednesday, May 24, 2023

Litigation involves the artful combination of intelligence, knowledge, empathy, emotion, and communication. Litigation requires the full application of the lawyer’s mind and body. Although some in the legal profession may think otherwise, lawyers are not superhuman and should pay more attention to their mental and physical wellness.

Whether you’re negotiating settlements, litigating in court, or otherwise advocating and upholding justice, you know as a busy lawyer that you need all of the energy and brainpower you can muster to provide the high-caliber services your clients expect and deserve. What you eat can be the difference-maker in improving your focus and clarity and helping you push through long workdays. But how do you fuel yourself properly without spending too much time in the kitchen or purchasing unnecessary meal services?

Featured speaker, Talia Follador, RDN, LDN, focuses her practice in the areas intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, eating disorders, sports nutrition, diabetes, and kidney disease.

Ms. Follador offers guidance regarding:

  • Foods that provide you with the nutrients you need to stay alert and focused throughout the day
  • How staying hydrated can help you increase and maintain your energy levels
  • Why it's important to limit caffeine and alcohol, which can disrupt your sleep and hinder your energy levels
  • Other factors that contribute to low energy levels or fatigue, such as dehydration, lack of sleep, or stress, and how to address those through diet and lifestyle changes
  • Snack ideas that support stable energy levels

Attend this timely, practical CLE program to learn how to eat for sustained energy and focus, even when you are crunched for time.
