There were many significant developments affecting state and local taxes (SALT) in 2022, including the enactment of pass-through entity tax regimes in response to the federal SALT deduction cap, adoption of the MTC’s new guidance pertaining to P.L. 86-272, expansion of sales tax bases and challenges to inventory nexus. Between anticipated changes to current economic conditions, implementation of codified changes in the federal income tax law, and ongoing multistate litigation, 2023 is expected to be another busy year in the SALT world.

During this CLE, panelists will discuss recent significant SALT developments and offer their predictions of key developments for 2023.
