Tips from the Tops: Hot Topics in ADR

Program originally presented Tuesday, November 22, 2022

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is not appropriate for all cases. Whilst some cases may require court intervention to resolve a dispute, early involvement and use of the correct means of ADR can facilitate parties in setting aside their differences and in some cases enable them to reach an early resolution. The determining factor is whether a dispute is ripe for negotiation.

Everyone knows that if you want to learn how to do or improve something, you should seek guidance from people who do it well. Our panelists, highly experienced using ADR in practice, will examine hot topics in ADR and offer tips and best practices.

Panelists will address the following topics, among others:

  • How to determine whether the case is right for ADR
  • How best to select a mediator or arbitrator
  • What standards of evidence arbitrators use
  • What rules should apply in arbitration
  • Changes and/or challenges in the practice and tactics of ADR post-COVID

Attend this program to hear common topics and challenges addressed by attorneys at the top of their fields.
