Health Care Law Primer

Program Originally Presented Tuesday, October 25, 2022

Health law is a complex collection of a variety of legal matters and issues. Many of the issues in health law are complex and diverse. Health lawyers may focus on the following legal needs: compliance, insurance and the third-party payer system, records violations, health care fraud, abuse and enforcement, and medical malpractice and tort law.

This practical CLE program provides an introduction to some of the core principles of HIPAA and other privacy matters, health care fraud, abuse and enforcement. The program targets new practitioners and those looking to have their recollections refreshed in this complex practice area.

Attend to receive an overview of the basics of HIPAA and hear practical guidance to address and identify issues concerning fraud, abuse and enforcement in the heavily regulated health care industry.
