Attend this CLE program to hear the latest from three Commonwealth Court judges regarding workers’ compensation appeals, trends and other interesting tips and advice.  The Commonwealth Court hears all appeals of workers’ compensation matters, and workers’ compensation cases make up almost 1/3 of their docket. Judges McCullough and Wojcik will provide guidance and insight as to how to present an appeal on a workers’ compensation case.

Judicial panelists will examine the following hot topics and cases:

  • Tips for presenting an appeal on a workers' compensation case to the Commonwealth Court/appellate advocacy
  • Neves v. WCAB (attorney’s fee and contingency agreements)
  • PA Supreme Court’s Decision in Lorino v. WCAB (regarding the award of attorney’s fees)
  • Coverage issues and the prescription of medical marijuana
  • Sexual assault vis a vis the physical injury/mental injury recovery standards
  • Issues concerning partial reimbursement, etc.
