Investigating and Litigating Title IX Sexual Assault Claims Under the New Regulations Changing the Legal Landscape

Program Originally Presented Friday, October 1, 2021

In May 2020, the Third Circuit made a significant ruling in the case of John Doe v. University of the Sciences that essentially requires colleges to provide hearings and the chance for cross-examination to students accused of sexual assault. This ruling went further than any previous Circuit Court decision regarding the rights of those accused of sexual offenses on college campuses.

The panel will discuss the new Title IX regulations implemented under the Biden Administration and provide the audience with insight on how to investigate and litigate sexual assault claims on college campuses. The panel will also address recent case law and any pending or suggested regulations and guidance.
