Embrace the Sounds of Silence: Quiet the Mind-Chatter & Improve Mental Focus

Program Originally Presented Tuesday, June 22, 2021

"The mind should not be telling its own stories all the time. It should tell what you want to tell. Otherwise, it is a nuisance." - Sadhguru

Learning effective strategies to manage the mind chatter can allow a person to take charge of a situation when they might otherwise avoid it and/or become discouraged. In this program, discover how to minimize the mind’s chatter, and focus on your work and stop overthinking.

The mindful principle of “What you resist, will persist, and what you let be, will let you be” will be addressed as it pertains to learning how to refocus on your work, your practice, your health and pushing through difficult circumstances. As legal professionals, sometimes you may not feel confident, but it will be important for you to remind yourself that you are still competent.

It is an attorney’s role not to let mind chatter influence our obligations under the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct. During this program, hear the importance of competency and communication as they relate to an attorney’s ethical obligations. Better communication may serve as a demonstration of the attorney’s competence to the client that can positively impact the attorney client relationship.

Attend this encore program and hear guidance on how to minimize the mind’s chatter and focus on your work and stop overthinking.
