The Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board (WCAB) has recently amended sections of the Regulations effecting the Appeal process. Commissioner Alfonso Frioni will discuss the most substantial regulatory changes in the 50-year history of the Appeal Board, since the 1972 Amendments. Specifically, the commissioner will address the regulation changes to a “hot bench” as well as the allowance of hearing to be conducted virtually.
