Fourth, fifth and sixth-grade students from Philadelphia public, private, parochial and charter elementary schools are invited to create a poster depicting the Young Lawyers Division-sponsored 2016 Law Week poster theme:
Why is it important that we protect the rights of people arrested by police by having police officers tell them they don’t have to speak to the police and that they have the right to an attorney? What does protecting people’s rights mean to you?
Gift card prizes are as follows: $125 (first place), $50 (second place) and $25 (third place). Entries must be received by Friday, April 15, 2016 at 12 p.m. Posters should be produced on standard 22” X 28” poster board. Include your name, address, telephone number and school on the back of the poster. Submit posters during business hours to: Thomas E.
