Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor John E. Savoth issued the following statement Aug. 20 on the passing of former Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors Chair Jerome R. Richter:
"Philadelphia has lost one of its warmest, most congenial members of the bar. Jerry was truly beloved among his many friends and associates throughout the profession. A highly respected litigator with a keen intellect, he served as Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors in 1982 and always conducted himself with remarkable grace. He had an enduring devotion to the law and a willingness to help all. He will be greatly missed."
