The Philadelphia Bar Association recently issued a
letter of support to the ACLU and has by
resolution expressed its support for the proposition that persons subject to detention or trial by a U.S. Military Commission should be permitted to seek habeas corpus relief in the United States courts.
The letter was issued in advance of the ACLU's June 26 Day of Action to Restore Habeas Corpus. For more information on the ACLU's campaign, go to ACLU Day of Action.
