The Young Lawyers Division will present the F. Sean Peretta Service Award to Alan M. Feldman, the founder of Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter, Tanner & Weinstock, at the YLD Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at noon at the Doubletree Hotel.

The Peretta Service Award is given annually to a member of the legal community who exhibits exceptional community service.

As Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2006, Feldman established the Raising the Bar Campaign, which seeks to raise law firm donations in Philadelphia to a minimum of $300 per Philadelphia-based attorney. As of January 2007, the campaign has raised $1.4 million. In addition to his work with the Association, Feldman has lectured and published materials for numerous programs and seminars, co-authored a textbook on premises liability law and taught trial advocacy at Temple University Beasley School of Law.

He graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in 1973 and is a 1976 graduate of Temple University School of Law.
