The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, the leading association of African American attorneys in the Philadelphia area and an affiliate of the National Bar Association, will be hosting its Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast at 7:30 am on Jan. 19 at Zion Baptist Church, 3600 N. Broad St. in Philadelphia. This year, the Barristers plan to honor Mayor John F. Street with the the Judge William Hall Award, Denise Smyler with the Woman of Distinction Award, and four attorneys with the Distinguished Under-40 Award: Judge Lori Dumas, Kenneth Murphy of Miller Alfano & Raspanti, Shelley Smith of the City of Philadelphia's Law Department and Gregory Williams of Fox Rothschild.
