The Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors approved several nominations for 2026 leadership at its January 8 meeting and retreat. Chancellor Ezra Wohgelernter also made appointments to his cabinet and to the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention. 

The Board approved the nomination of Kevin Levy as 2025 Board Chair. Levy is an associate at Saul Ewing. Also approved was Chancellor-Elect Kristine Calalang’s nomination of Gabi Outlaw as Vice-Chair of the Board. Outlaw is an associate at Weber Gallagher.

In addition:

  • Virginia G. Essandoh was reappointed to serve as Diversity Chair. Essandoh is chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at Ballard Spahr.
  • Larry Beaser was reappointed as counsel to the Board. Beaser is a partner at Blank Rome. 
  • Colin Beisel, attorney, Youman & Caputo; Antima Chakraborty, associate, Cipriani & Werner, and Marvin Haber, co-founder, Haber DiPaul, were appointed to the Board of Governors.
  • Hillary Ladov, partner, MGC Law; Dino Privitera, owner, The Privitera Law Firm, and Marc Zucker, partner, Weir LLP, were appointed to the Cabinet.

Appointments were also made to the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention. Susan Lin, partner at Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing, Feinberg & Lin, will serve as Chair, and Shelli Fedullo, of counsel to The Weitz Firm LLC, will be Vice Chair. The Board also approved appointments of six members of the Commission: Hon Mark Bernstein (ret.), Hon. Craig Levin and Rabbi David Kushner.
