NEWS ALERT: Bar Association Supports Law Firm Amicus Briefs
The Philadelphia Bar Association has signed onto four amicus briefs in support of motions by Perkins Coie, Jenner & Block, WilmerHale and most recently Susman Godfrey for summary judgements in response to recent Trump Administration executive orders targeting the firms.
These orders directly threaten the independence of the legal profession and create an atmosphere of intimidation that undermines our justice system and thereby our democracy.
In these unprecedented times, it is important that we, as Philadelphia’s largest legal trade association and the country’s oldest bar association since 1802, uphold and champion the rule of law and stand in support of the independence of the legal profession.
