Kristine L. Calalang, owner, The Law Office of Kristine L. Calalang, has been elected Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. She will serve as Vice Chancellor in 2025, Chancellor-elect in 2026 and Chancellor in 2027. Calalang’s current and past Philadelphia Bar Association positions include Chair of the Board of Governors, Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm and Women in the Profession Committees, and Chair of the Family Law Section. The Association’s Vice Chancellor, line officer and Board of Governors elections were uncontested this year. The candidates were officially named to their positions during the Association’s Annual Meeting on December 10.
In addition to Vice Chancellor, the following candidates will begin terms as line officers on Jan. 1, 2025:
- Secretary: Karima Yelverton, assistant district attorney, City of Philadelphia
- Assistant Secretary: Melanie Foreman, shareholder, Marshall Dennehey
- Treasurer: Erin Lamb, partner, Freeman Mathis & Gary
- Assistant Treasurer: Josh J.T. Byrne, shareholder, Marshall Dennehey
Four new members were elected to the Association’s Board of Governors: Lakeisha Fields, deputy city solicitor, City of Philadelphia; Rhonda Fulginiti, manager of legal recruiting, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney; Kevin Levy, associate, Saul Ewing, and Gabrielle Outlaw, associate, Weber Gallagher. Each will serve a three-year term. They will also each serve for three years. Terms for all of the candidates will begin on Jan. 1, 2025
Seven new representatives were elected in a contested election to serve on the Executive Committee of the Association’s Young Lawyers Division. They were each serve three-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2025
The seven new members of the YLD Executive Committee are Charnae Supplee, associate, Holland & Knight; Beth Perez, director, intake and pro bono, Support Center for Child Advocates; Hermionne Cadet, senior trial attorney, Law Offices of Richard A. Steiger; Audrey Melli-Mirza, associate attorney, German, Gallagher & Murtagh; Brooke Hurlbrink, associate, Fox Rothschild; Ryan Murphy, Of Counsel, McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter; and Ashley Taragna, associate, Freeman, Mathis and Gary.
