Ezra Wohgelernter, shareholder at Feldman Shepherd Wohgelernter Tanner Weinstock and Dodig LLP, has been elected Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He will serve as Vice Chancellor in 2024, Chancellor-elect in 2025 and Chancellor in 2026. Wohlgelernter’s current and past Philadelphia Bar Association positions include State Civil Litigation Section executive committee (2019-present), Medical-Legal Committee co-chair (2019-present), and Judicial Commission investigator (2014-2016).

In addition to Vice Chancellor, members of the Association also chose a Treasurer, who will serve a one-year term, and five new members of the Board of Governors, who will each serve a three-year term. Members of the Association’s Young Lawyers Division chose seven representatives for the YLD Executive Committee, who will also serve for three years. Terms for all of the winning candidates will begin on Jan. 1, 2024.

The winning candidate for Treasurer was Erin Lamb, senior counsel at Freeman, Mathis and Gary LLP 

The five winning candidates for Board of Governors were Shahirah Brown, assistant general counsel, School District of Philadelphia; Abel Garza, instructor, Villanova University; instructor and clinic supervising attorney, Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law; Jahlee Hatchett, associate, Marshall Dennehey P.C.; Mary Kate Kalinich, custody and support supervising attorney, Women Against Abuse, and Melissa Ruth, associate at Duane Morris.

The seven winning candidates for YLD Executive Committee were Alexandra Bondy, associate, Hofstein, Weiner & Meyer, P.C; Paul Carrion, associate attorney, DiOrio & Sereni, LLP; Felicia Carter, associate, Willig, Williams & Davidson; Leah George, associate, Caesar Rivise, PC; Melissa Hensinger, associate, Heckscher, Teillon, Terrill & Sager, P.C.; Danielle Pell, associate, Wood Smith Henning & Berman, LLP, and Ryan Spengler, associate, Duane Morris LLP.

The following candidates ran unopposed and will also begin their terms on Jan. 1, 2024: Deborah Winokur, counsel, Cozen O’Connor (Secretary), Melanie Foreman, shareholder, Marshall Dennehey P.C. (Assistant Secretary), and Dino Privitera, founder The Privitera Law Firm (Assistant Treasurer.)
